News from the municipal council

Langental, cemetery, fire department

At its most recent meeting, the Imsbach municipal council focused in particular on the container sanitary facilities including the water supply to the campsite in Langental. Local mayor Oliver Krupp announced that the investment sum for the overall measure had increased by 19,000 euros to 254,000 euros. However, the grant from the EU Leader program had also increased to 118,000 euros. A corresponding commitment has now been received. Part of the additional costs are due to planned changes to the sanitary facilities. These consist of two men's toilets with three urinals, three ladies' toilets, four showers, several washbasins and a wheelchair-accessible disabled toilet. A so-called sectional door (a type of electric roller shutter) has been newly planned, which can be used to close the facility. There will also be wall-mounted toilets instead of standing toilets. As far as the water pipe to be built in Langental is concerned, Krupp says that two landowners have yet to give their consent. Negotiations are ongoing. The overall project must be submitted to the ADD for approval in six months at the latest.

With regard to the cemetery extension, the council unanimously decided to award the work to the most favorable bidder, subject to the review of the bid by the association municipality. A tender resulted in the company Galabau from Dreisen being the cheapest bidder at around 80,000 euros. The main aim is to repave the dilapidated main path.

The council also unanimously approved a request from the Imsbach fire department to reserve four parking spaces on the forecourt for emergency vehicles. According to fire chief Kevin Wiley, private cars or trailers parked there repeatedly cause obstructions.
