May Day celebration and treading pool festival

Mayor Oliver Krupp welcomed around 50 guests. He focused his speech in the mining village of Imsbach on "Glück auf". The greeting stands for solidarity and that one can rely on the other. According to Krupp, volunteering is our modern "Glück auf". It ensures "that the light never goes out in Imsbach". He thanked all the volunteers in the town for their commitment.

He announced that renovation work on the campsite will begin in the middle of the year and will be completed in the summer of next year. From then until 2029, the campsite will be almost fully booked. In 2027, the redesign of the fountain square in the village center will be tackled as part of the village renewal. He also praised the clubs that supported the fire protection renovation of the gallery with fundraising campaigns. And he considered the prospect of the Weiße Grube being able to reopen for the 2027 season after a long renovation period to be a huge success. Unfortunately, the usual musical accompaniment to the May Day celebration by the Imsbach fanfare band had to be canceled due to illness. Instead, those present sang "May has come" together.

Many of the guests then made their way towards Langental to the tourist office's treading pool festival, which also marked the opening of the Kneipp pool season. Over the course of the holiday and in glorious weather, numerous Imsbach residents visited the well-catered festival.
